We supply 2-ethylhexanol 5l and 25l pure grade with a specification of 99.5% minimum and an s.g. of 0.832 – 0.833. It is not flammable or hazardous for transportation, and is a useful solvent widely used in liquid formulations.

2-ethylhexanol (also known as 2-EH) is a clear, high-boiling point, high flash point, low volatility solvent with a characteristic sweet smell miscible with most organic solvents, but has very limited miscibility with water. The IUPAC name is 2-ethylhexan-1-ol whereas iso-octanol is 6-methylheptan-1-ol.

Product Appearance

Our 2-EH is a clear colourless liquid, but Pubchem surprisingly describes it as a brown liquid.
