Benzyl alcohol is a safe polar safe solvent with many uses including dye solvent, ink solvent and paint stripper solvent. However, benzyl alcohol does not have the same solvency as N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) but can be used as a replacement for NMP in some formulations.
