Alternative names
CoPc, 29H,31H-Phthalocyanine, Cobalt(2+) salt, Cobaltous Phthalocyanine,
Description
For electrochemical applications and many other applications cobalt phthalocyanine redox dye (also known as CoPc) is a useful purple dye powder used in applications such as sensors, electrodes, photovoltaics and advanced scientific developments such as catalyst in polymer synthesis.
Our cobalt phthalocyanine redox dye is kept in stock and will supply you promptly. It is the 98% minimum purity grade, compared with the commonly available 97% minimum purity grade.
CoPc is not reported to be soluble in common solvents, but is soluble in 2-sec-butylphenol (OSBP) and pyridine. However, we also supply a chemically modified grade of CoPc with enhanced solubility, our product number 83CBO26.
Product number 83CBO26 is cobalt octabutoxyphthalocyanine, made to order. The 8 butoxy groups change the solubility and make it soluble in toluene.
