Product name
Red Fluorescer 660
Description
Red Fluorescer 660 is a powerful thermally stable, dark powder soluble in most organic solvents, and is compatible with most polymers to produce fluorescent red plastic films with interesting properties. Addition levels of 500 – 1,000ppm.produce films with noticeable fluorescent red effects.
A new application for fluorescent plastic films containing Red Fluorescer 660, is to shroud greenhouses, bathing plants in red light and enhancing growth rate.
Effect of red light on plant growth
Plants have red light phytochrome photoreceptors in their cell walls. These receptors are light sensitive blue-green pigments.
Red light impacts plants to enhance the production of meta topolin hormone, the chlorophyl stabiliser controlling greenness in spring and summer, converting light energy into sugars. Stronger bigger plants are produced with no loss of vitamins, carbohydrate and nutritional value.
About meta topolin
Meta topolin is [6-(3-hydroxybenzlyamino) purine] cytokinin hormone and is used for the in vitro culture of plants to encourage root and shoot development.
