Description
We are the HST ink supplier. We supply hercules size test ink used in paper mill laboratories to test the sizing of paper. Hercules Size Test Ink, the green formic acid based ink used in paper mill laboratories for measurement of internal sizing of paper and board is made by us. The test is more sensitive than the Cobb Test.
Paper and board is sized to control the rate (not amount) of liquid penetration into the sheet in order to: Improve print quality, resist wetting & loss of strength, and contain liquids. The Hercules size test measures the time for a liquid sample to penetrate through the sheet.
We supply 1 – 8% formic acid grades. Higher concentrations of formic acid are hazardous for transportation.
