Alternative names
Cobalt 1,4,8,11,15,18,22,25-Octabutoxy-29H,31H-phthalocyanine
Description
Soluble cobalt phthalocyanine is cobalt octabutoxyphthalocyanine, soluble in toluene and other solvents and is easier to use than CoPc.
CoPc is cobalt phthalocyanine. CoPc is the redox dye used in electrode and catalyst applications and cobalt octabutoxyphthalocyanine is the alternative to CoPc
Soluble cobalt phthalocyanine.is cobalt octabutoxyphthalocyanine a specialised metallo phthalocyanine co-ordination compound featuring a central cobalt ion enclosed by a macrocyclic ring with 8 butoxy side chains. The 8 butoxy side chains make it the solubilised derivative of cobalt phthalocyanine with organic solvent solubility. These bulky peripheral side chains enhance solubility in organic solvents and reduce molecular stacking compared with unsubstituted cobalt phthalocyanine.
